“Having Shikanji - a traditional lemonade based drink with some added spices, acts as natural coolant and helps remove impurities from the blood and also replenish electrolyte levels.”

Shikanji is an electrolyte-rich drink that helps rehydrate the body. It also aids digestion by stimulating the digestive juices and reducing gas in the stomach. Shikanji can also help to purify blood as well as regulate the body temperature. 

Shikanji Recipe - It can be prepared in 2 simple steps:

  1. Make the Shikanji masala by dry roasting and crushing 1 tablespoon of cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon of black peppercorn, 1  teaspoon of coriander seeds, 1 teaspoon of rock salt and 1 teaspoon of normal salt. ( keep stirring continuously)
  2. In a tall glass squeeze 1/2 to 3/4th lemon, add around 2 teaspoons of sugar ( can be adjusted to taste) and add 1 teaspoon of Shikanji masala and water. Your tasty and healthy Shikanji is ready to consume.
